This is my last train ride with Amtrak. Now going to San Francisco through the Great Planes. Makes you want to be a cowboy seeing the desert and the canyons!

First Evening in San Francisco!
After a really long train ride, think about 17 hours including an over nightI finally arrived in the Bay Area!
San Francisco is one of my favourite cities so far! I love the architecture and the nostalgic easy going feeling of the city! I didn't expect the city to be so hilly though!
When I went into this cathedral I was surprised by a huge crowd doing Yoga inside it. That was a funny scene.
I got dinner at In and Out. That was quite disappointing though. So... the prize for the better burger goes to... the East Coast! The burger wasn't anything special and the fries were undone. Shacke Shack is way better!
I ate my dinner at the Pier with a view of the sunset over Alcatraz!
Flying to Austin
I am now heading to my final stop in the USA! Austin, Texas.
I am visiting my family here and staying at my cousin Jeremy's place.
I almost missed my flight because I totally underestimated the trafic and the size of the LA airport. And security takes for ever and a day...
But I got on the plane with out any problems!
When I arrived in Austin, I met Jeremy at his office and waited for him to finisg work. The office is amazing! It's a super cool place to hang out. Afterwards Jeremy took me out to kayak tour in Austin downtown river!
LA Day 2
I wanted to complain that they didn't put my star on the Walk of Fame yet so I headed over to the Paramount Studios. I ended up having a tour through the Studios! I didn't see any of my actor buddies though because it was a Sunday!
Does anybody recognise the bench I am sitting on?
Later that day I went to Farmers Market again for lunch and headed over to the Tar Pits. That's an amazing site! You have puddles of asphalt all over the place which caused mammoths and many other animals to get caught in them and fossilising them!
Afterwards I went up to get Getty Center of Art. I love that facility! Great architecture and great art and a great view for free!
For dinner I headed to Santa Monica Beach to catch the sunset!
LA!
I arrived early in the morning with not much sleep. But I at least saved some money and time by taking the overnight bus. I wanted to check into my AirBnB and agreed on an early check in but my host wasn't reachable when I arrived. Turned out she was sleeping and her husband muted her phone over night. I called AirBnB to help me and they originally cancelled the booking and gave me a 45 dollar compensation and helped me to find a new place to stay. When I started walking over to a hostel I found, my host from the last place called me and told me I could check in. So I just went back to her place because it was only 50 meters away from the Walk of Fame! At least I still have the compensation!
After a coffee I felt better and headed over to look for my star on the Walk of Fame. Couldn't find it... weird... well Donald Trump has a star right next to Kevin Spacey.
Because LA is so widespread I wanted to take a ride on a tour bus to cover the main sites. But all of the agencies were so expensive offering 2 hour rides for 50 to 70 Dollars... I passed a shop which looked little sketchy but a guy in front approached me and asked if I wanted to join his tour. It was 50 dollars. But he told me tha he wanted to fill up his bus and that he would give me a last minute price of only 25 dollars. So I just joined that hoping for the best.
The tour bus was an old van of which they cut of the walls and the roof creating a cabriolet! Interesting idea and great for that sunny weather! The tour guide was a black guy who took is around Hollywood and to Beverly Hills! He was really funny and I enjoyed the tour so much! So the price wasn't bad at all!
Later I got dinner at the Farmers Market which has lots of great food stalls. Look at the picture with the food sign. I was quite surprised to see a German sign for French Fries in LA. And everybody in the shop was talking Spanish...
